Anibal Valente Elected 2015 Chair of 网曝吃瓜
SAN ANTONIO, TX, Thursday March 26, 2015 — The 网曝吃瓜 (网曝吃瓜) has appointed Anibal Valente as chair of the 2015 board of directors at its annual general meeting, held in conjunction with the 2015 网曝吃瓜 annual conference. Anibal takes over the position from Serge Massicotte, president of Massicotte Construction, an Ottawa, Ontario-based general contracting firm.
Anibal is vice president of , a group of independent construction companies operating in the civil infrastructure, heavy industrial, and buildings markets across Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and in Australia. His 35-year career with PCL has spanned many leadership roles in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Anibal joined the 网曝吃瓜 board in 2006 and the executive in 2010. He has served as a board member of the Regina Construction Association, as well as chaired the Saskatchewan Construction Association, BC Construction Association, Vancouver Regional Construction Association, and the BCIT Foundation Advisory Board.
Anibal鈥檚 dedication to the construction industry has been widely recognized. In 2013, he was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal designated for Canadians demonstrating outstanding service in the construction industry. In 2014, he was named the 网曝吃瓜鈥檚 General Contractor of the Year and inducted as a lifetime member to the Vancouver Regional Construction Association.
In his address to the annual general meeting, Anibal touched on the key areas that need to be addressed by 网曝吃瓜 to best serve its membership. These five areas from 网曝吃瓜鈥檚 new strategic plan – advocacy, industry best practices, communication with members and partner association, industry advancement and decision-making 鈥� were defined through a process that started by consulting with the partner associations at the 2014 Construction Industry Summit. 鈥淓ach of these key areas outlines the important role our national association will play to address industry issues,鈥� said Anibal. 鈥淚 am confident this strategic plan will provide the guidance for 网曝吃瓜 to deliver on behalf of its members.鈥�
