سԹ CORNER

Powering partnerships through the 2025 سԹ Tour

Representing the interests of Canada’s construction industry is the driving force behind the سԹ (سԹ). Through ongoing engagement with our members and Integrated Partner Associations, we ensure we’re addressing the issues that matter most and delivering the services that bring meaningful value to the industry.

A key part of this engagement is the سԹ Tour, a national outreach strategy that brings سԹ leadership directly to partner associations, their boards, and their members across Canada throughout the year.

This year’s tour had سԹ Chair Francis Roy, سԹ President Rodrigue Gilbert, Vice-President Kenny Leon, and Association Vice-Presidents Louis-Philippe Champagne and Nicole Emmett participating in meetings, conferences, and special events from coast to coast. Each stop provided an opportunity to listen, learn, and deepen our connections within the construction community.

By the end of 2025, the tour will have included:

  • Celebrations of milestone anniversaries with , , and .
  • Recognition of industry excellence at awards ceremonies hosted by the , , (NLCA), , and .
  • Participation in various Women in Construction events organized by the , , and , highlighting the talent, leadership, and innovation women bring to the sector, while underscoring سԹ’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and future-ready workforce.

These engagements are in addition to the many board meetings, Annual General Meetings, and conferences where سԹ was invited to present or observe.

Collaboration remains central to سԹ’s mission. Beyond the tour, we work closely with our Integrated Partner Associations through regular virtual meetings, our annual Partner Association Symposium in May, and in focused sessions designed to gather feedback on سԹ initiatives. These conversations give us vital insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our members in the regions they live and work, and help guide the development of tools, resources, and advocacy strategies that strengthen the industry as a whole.

Throughout the tour, key themes emerged: tariffs, Canada’s relationship with the United States, standard contract documents, procurement practices, infrastructure investment, and workforce strategies. These priorities helped guide the direction of our advocacy and ensured سԹ remained closely aligned with our partner associations.

Your engagement, whether it’s participating in events like Hill Day in November or contributing feedback and sharing our messages, translates directly into meaningful progress. It strengthens the industry’s voice, accelerates improvements in policies and practices, and helps ensure construction companies have the tools they need to succeed.

Together, with your collaboration and partnership, we are building a stronger, more resilient Canada.
